Aurora Development Day / Dinner
The first Aurora Development Day was held on Monday 18th September at the John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library at Curtin University. The development day built on the experiences and insights gained through the Aurora Institute, and was an opportunity to develop our self-awareness as leaders within the library and information profession.
The day was facilitated brilliantly by Rachel Green who guided us through a program where we heightened our awareness of our body/mind/emotion responses and practiced skills to become more effective communicators.
Attending the development day were Anita Brown, Sue Hutley, Linda Marchesani Alison O’Connor, Carmel O’Sullivan, Joanne Roach, Perri-Lee Sandell, Dagmar Schmidmaier, Terena Solomons, Alison Sutherland, Monika Szunejko, Lynne Vautier, Lee Williams.
It was fantastic to catch up with friends from interstate and to share common experiences… and some embarrassing moments :-)
Most attendees from the development day met afterwards with other past Aurorans from all over Australia for dinner at Vultures Restaurant in Northbridge.
Linda Marchesani, Clare Glanville, Jill Benn, Monika Szunejko, Alison O'Connor and Chris Kelly.
Liz Burke, Sue Hutley, Alison Sutherland, Lynne Vautier, Ann Ritchie, Cathie Jilovsky, Lee Williams.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with past participants, meet new colleagues and hear about life and work developments since Aurora.
Andrew Wright, Terena Solomons, Richard Sayers, Anita Brown, Perri-Lee Sandell.
